WHAT ARE COOKIES?
This Website whose property and ownership lies with MORMEDI, S.L. (hereinafter, "the Website") uses cookies and/or similar technologies that are tools used by web servers that store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to provide a correct operation of the site. The use of these devices allows the web server to remember some data concerning the user, such as your preferences for viewing the pages of such server, name and password, products that most interest you, etc.
The user may configure his or her browser to notify and reject the installation of cookies sent by the Website, without this affecting the ability to access its contents, but the Website’s level of performance may decrease.
COOKIES AFFECTED BY LAW AND EXEMPT COOKIES
According to Directive 2002/58/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 12 July 2002, concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector (Directive on privacy and electronic communications), the cookies that require the user’s informed consent are analytical, advertising and affiliation cookies...
Session cookies and ‘user access’ cookies, user identification or authentication, user security, media player, load balancing, user interface personalization and plug-in cookies to exchange social content are considered exempt cookies.
TYPES OF COOKIES
Depending on the entity managing the device or domain from which the cookies are sent and processing the data obtained, the following categories may be established:
- Own cookies: those for which the editor is responsible and which are generally sent to the user’s computer from a device or domain managed by the editor themselves, and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
- Third-party cookies: those for which an entity other than the editor is responsible and which are generally sent to the user's computer from a device or domain not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes any data obtained through cookies.
When cookies are sent from a device or domain managed by the editor themselves, but the information collected by such cookies is subsequently managed by a third party, they may not be considered as own cookies if such third party uses them for their own purposes (for example, to improve the services supplied by said third party or to provide advertising services to other entities).
According to the purpose for which data obtained through cookies are processed, some of these purposes may be:
- Technical cookies: those that allow the user to browse through a website, platform or application, and to use the different options or services offered on them, including those cookies used by the editor to allow operation and management of the website and enable its functions and services.
- Preferences or personalization cookies: those that allow to remember information, so that users may access the service under certain conditions that distinguish their experience from that of other users, such as, for example, the language, the number of search results to be displayed, the appearance or contents of the service depending on the browser through which or the region from which the user has accessed the service, etc.
- Analytics or measurement cookies: those that allow the cookies manager to perform follow-up and analyses of user behavior at the websites to which such cookies are linked; this includes a quantitative measurement of the impact of advertisements. The information collected by means of this type of cookie is used to measure activity of any website, application or platform, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of the data regarding the service use made by users.
- Advertising cookies: those that allow to manage, in the most efficient way possible, the advertising spaces that, if applicable, the editor has included in a website, application or platform from which the requested service is provided, based on criteria such as the edited content or the frequency with which ads are displayed.
- Behavioral advertising cookies: those that collect information on the user's personal preferences and choices (retargeting) in order to allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that, if applicable, the editor has included in a website, application or platform from which the requested service is provided.
Depending on the storage period, the following categories may be established:
- Session cookies: those designed to collect and store data while users access a website.
- Persistent cookies: those cookies on which data remain stored on the computer and may be accessed and processed for a period of time defined by the cookie manager, which may range from a few minutes to several years.
